Slingshot Aerospace Debuts World’s First Rapid Space Domain Awareness Enablement Package

Sovereign Space Object Tracking combines deployable, off-the-shelf optical sensors with real-time access to the Slingshot Global Sensor Network (SGSN) space data catalog and state-of-the-art algorithms.

WINDSOR, CO – April 29, 2025 Slingshot Aerospace, Inc., the leader in AI-powered solutions for satellite tracking, space traffic coordination, and space modeling and simulation, today announced the global commercial availability of Sovereign Space Object Tracking, a groundbreaking solution that enables nations to rapidly deploy autonomous, scalable space domain awareness (SDA) capabilities. The system is designed to give nations control over their own SDA capabilities. Slingshot’s offering includes field-proven sensors, state-of-the-art software to fuse observational data and expose AI-generated insights, and Slingshot’s operationally-maintained commercial catalog of space object tracking data—spanning orbital regimes from low Earth orbit to geostationary orbit.

“For the first time, any nation—regardless of size or space heritage—can monitor, track, and analyze space objects across Earth's orbital regimes independently, without reliance on other nations,” said Tim Solms, CEO of Slingshot Aerospace. “Slingshot is paving the way to democratize space domain awareness. By providing increased autonomy and operational readiness, we’re accelerating the path to space sovereignty for a new generation of spacefaring nations.”

Sovereign Space Object Tracking is a turnkey, mission-ready solution that delivers next-generation space monitoring capabilities. Key components include:

  1. Pick Your Sensors
Customers can build a tailored sensor network by selecting from Slingshot’s operationally tested hardware offerings: \
    1. Horus (LEO) and Argus (GEO) staring arrays
    2. Varda (LEO + GEO, day/night capable) gimbaled sensors

All sensor packages include on-site processing servers, weather sensors, image processing, and sensor system control software, with optional enclosures and server cabinets. Each system is tailored to specific mission needs and deployed by Slingshot or a certified local partner.

  1. Leverage Slingshot’s Data Processing Suite
Customers can license Slingshot’s cloud-based sensor orchestration and data processing suite to turn uncorrelated observations into actionable insights. Available capabilities include:
    1. Tasking orchestration
    2. Sovereign Space Object Catalog maintenance (including UCT processing, orbit determination, and maneuver detection)
    3. Ephemeris generation
    4. Conjunction assessment and risk analysis
    5. AI-powered space activity anomaly alerting
  1. Augment Sovereign Data with Slingshot’s Global Network
Customers can integrate data from the Slingshot Global Sensor Network (SGSN) to extend visibility through global coverage and bootstrap the building up of sovereign catalog capabilities. This hybrid approach supports includes regular custody of 90% of active spacecraft and the ability to track thousands of objects daily.
  1. Access Expert Support with Professional Services
From deployment to day-to-day operations, Slingshot offers access to fractional or dedicated Sensor Operations Specialists and Orbital Analysts to help customers maximize the value of their sensor systems and maintain long-term performance.

About Slingshot Aerospace
Slingshot Aerospace provides government and commercial partners around the world with AI-powered solutions for satellite tracking, space traffic coordination, and space modeling and simulation. The Slingshot Platform transforms disparate space data into a common operating picture of the space domain by leveraging advanced space object tracking, artificial intelligence, astrodynamics, and data fusion. Slingshot’s platform combines data from the Slingshot Global Sensor Network, the Slingshot Seradata satellite and launch database, satellite owner-operators, and other third-party space data providers to create a holistic and dynamic view of space for training, planning, and operations. This unified representation of space activities – past, present, and predicted – enhances operators' space situational awareness, improves operational efficiency, and reduces risk for space operators.

Slingshot is driven by its mission to make space safe, sustainable, and secure. The company was launched in 2017 and has locations in Colorado and the UK.
