Slingshot Processing Units provide a consistent way to measure how platform resources are used when accessing data, running analytics, or making requests. Instead of tracking compute, storage, and processing separately, these resources are combined into a single predictable unit that you can use across the Portal experience.

The best way to try out Portal features is to sign up for a free account. Once signed in, you will have 14 day access to Pro features. Once your trial is up you are able to continue using your free account.

API usage is billed in SPUs (Slingshot Processing Units). Based on the current API cost matrix, endpoint costs can range from 0.00 to 36.48 SPU per API call, depending on the endpoint and workload. Higher-cost endpoints typically involve more computationally intensive processing, such as TLE and ephemeris requests. Only successful 2xx responses consume SPUs; 4xx, 5xx, and 429 responses are not charged.

Tracking data pricing varies by product type and order configuration. Existing Data starts at 9 SPU and supports historical ranges and latest available snapshots, while Future Data starts at 33 SPU and supports ongoing updates as data is collected. For Existing Data, pricing depends on the selected time range, number of objects, and data type, with time-frame windows limited to 30-day intervals. For Future Data, pricing is tied to continuous delivery options, with daily, monthly, or annual billing configurations shown in the current product flow screenshots.
