Former Google Executive Julio Pekarovic Joins Slingshot Aerospace as Chief Financial Officer

AUSTIN, TEXAS – October 8, 2025 — Slingshot Aerospace, the leader in AI-powered space data, analytics, and simulation solutions, today announced the appointment of Julio Pekarovic as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Pekarovic is a seasoned finance and operations executive with extensive experience scaling high-growth technology companies. He has held leadership roles at industry powerhouses including Google, Quantcast, Dataminr, and Gecko Robotics, where he built and led global teams through periods of rapid expansion.

As CFO, Pekarovic will lead Slingshot’s financial organization, driving strategic planning and operational excellence to support the company’s continued growth and market expansion.

Pekarovic joins Slingshot during a pivotal stage of growth as the company accelerates its global presence and deepens partnerships across the defense, commercial, and civil space sectors.

Outside of work, Pekarovic is a passionate sports enthusiast who enjoys tennis, golf, and skiing. He credits his wife and three children as his greatest source of motivation and inspiration. Having lived and worked across multiple continents, he brings a truly global perspective—and if given the chance to travel beyond Earth, he says he’d bring an “ultra-high-resolution, wide-angle camera with incredible low-light sensitivity.”  

Pekarovic previously served as President of INSEAD’s U.S. Alumni Association and currently sits on the Management Education Foundation.
